How to Activate New Service with Verizon
Your current carrier is taking you for a ride, and the The Wireless Butler found you a great deal on service from Verizon! You’re ready to make the switch–here’s how:
You’ll need to have several pieces of information:
Your bill, which will answer most of Verizon’s questions.Your pin or account password for your current carrier.Your device(s).Your Social Security Number.
To activate new service over the phone, contact Verizon at 1-800-256-4646.
If headed to a Verizon store:
Also bring: a Photo ID, a Credit Card in your name, and your device(s). Verizon might buy devices from you, and you’ll need them to keep your number.
Make sure you back up your devices before you go to the store.
Once you’ve switched:
Don’t forget to cancel or you can become a zombie line and your carrier will continue to bill you!
